1. Global manufacturing continues to fall, recovery momentum weakens
In August, the global manufacturing PMI index continued to weaken, the growth rate of the manufacturing industry continued to slow down, and the recovery momentum further weakened. In terms of sub-regions, except for a slight rebound in China, the manufacturing PMIs of countries/regions including the United States, the euro zone, Japan, the United Kingdom and China all declined sharply, and the downward pressure on the global economy has increased.
2. The electronic information manufacturing industry continued to grow and remained stable
From January to July, the production of China's electronic information manufacturing industry grew steadily, the scale of exports continued to expand, the revenue of enterprises increased steadily, and the investment maintained rapid growth.
3. Semiconductor growth slows, index tumbles
According to statistics, the global semiconductor industry sales in June 2022 were US$50.8 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 1.9%, and the semiconductor chip sales market began to "cool down".
From the perspective of capital market indexes, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell by 10.1% in August, and the China Semiconductor (SW) Industry Index fell slightly by 2.60%, mainly due to factors such as chip legislation, terminal demand and inflation, and the market turned pessimistic about the global chip sales prospects.
